LABORATORY

Laboratory plays a vital role in any industry; its importance increases more in a productive organization.  In this laboratory, production unit will function under laboratory so that lab would monitor all stages regarding production of any product. Whenever, blending section prepares any product, it will forward the sample to laboratory on a forwarding note (F-Note).  This F-Note will consist of following information:-

  1. Nomenclature of Product
  2. Grade
  3. Batch No.
  4. Total Quantity
  5. Packing Size / Information

This F-Note will be forwarded to laboratory after proper signature of production in-charge.  Laboratory will allot it a proper lab number and will test the sample strictly in accordance with specification; in this regard laboratory also has technical data of each grade.  Therefore, Lab will test this product in accordance with ASTM, IP, BS, Def Standard.  Lab has soft and hard copies of all these paper particulars.   Lab will maintain the record of tested sample for 2 x years.  In addition, lab is also responsible for testing of samples received from local market.

Calibration and Maintenance of Equipment.

Chief chemist is responsible to ensure proper cleanliness and maintenance of all lab equipments.  Moreover, calibration of equipment will be carried out on annual basis.

Quality Control and Quality Assurance.      

The complete procedure of preparation of a product from quality control to quality assurance of finished product is the responsibility of laboratory.  Lab will first prepare QC Lab report and then QA lab report.  Blending section cannot launch a product in the market until Lab issues specified QA report of that product.

Research and Development

 It is the responsibility of lab to ensure and enhance the quality of a product and make efforts to meet the international standard, therefore, it is also the responsibility of administration to pay extra attention towards lab because the good will of this industry totally depends on the performance of lab.  At this stage this industry is producing 19 products; it is the duty of lab to pay attention on research and development so that the number of products be increased.
